Signal Generator is a laboratory noise/sound generator which can be used to generate accurate sounds in fixed frequency, 2-channels (two frequencies going at once), a sweep-pattern, or in a specified sequence. It is useful when you need to generate a fixed sound for whatever purpose (in the laboratory, for sound effects, etc)

R is a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. It is similar to S, which was developed at Bell Laboratories by John Chambers et al. It provides a wide variety of statistical and graphical techniques (linear and nonlinear modelling, statistical tests, time series analysis, classification, clustering, etc.). R is designed as a true computer language with control-flow constructions for iteration and alternation, and it allows users to add additional functionality by defining new functions. For computationally intensive tasks, Fortran and C code can be linked and called at run time.

Pcb is a handy tool for the X Window System to design printed circuit boards. All coordinate units are 1/1000 inch. A layout consists of lines, arcs, polygons, elements (lines, pins and arcs), vias, and text information seperated into several layers. Each of them is identified by a unique name and color (if supported by your display). SMD circuits are also supported. Eight layers are supported, in addition to a silkscreen layer. Visibility of pins and SMD pads and vias is controllable. All files are 7-bit ASCII, and can be preprocessed with any Unix command that writes its results to stdout (GNU m4 is required). Zooming, unlimited undo, and unlimited redo are supported. Pcb is intended to be a simple tool without memory and time consuming features like autorouter and autoplacement. Layout related settings are saved together with the data.

ROOT is an OO framework for large-scale scientific data analysis and data mining. It contains an efficient hierarchical OO database, a C++ interpreter, advanced statistical analysis, visualization, introspection, documentation, networking, and GUI classes. The command/scripting language is C++, and large scripts can be compiled and dynamically linked in. Using the PROOF (Parallel ROOT Facility) extension, large databases can be analyzed in parallel. The system runs on all known POSIX platforms, Windows, and MacOS X.

The Date::Calc package consists of a (pure-Perl) wrapper which either loads Date::Calc::XS (a separate implementation in C and XS) or Date::Calc::PP (a pure-Perl implementation which is part of the Date::Calc package). The Date::Calc::XS and Date::Calc::PP modules perform all kinds of date calculations based on the Gregorian calendar (the one used in all Western countries today), according to relevant norms and standards: ISO/R 2015-1971, DIN 1355 and, to some extent, ISO 8601 (where applicable). The package is designed as an efficient toolbox, not a bulky ready-made application. It provides extensive documentation and examples of use, multi-language support, and special functions for business needs.

Bit::Vector is a (stand-alone) C library and an object-oriented Perl module (with overloaded operators) which allows you to handle bit vectors, sets (of integers), "big integer arithmetic" (e.g. for cryptography), and boolean matrices (all of arbitrary size) very efficiently.

Moodss is a modular monitoring application, which supports operating systems (Linux, UNIX, Windows, etc.), databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2, ODBC, etc.), networking (SNMP, Apache, etc.), and any device or process for which a module can be developed (in Tcl, Python, Perl, Java, and C). An intuitive GUI with full drag'n'drop support allows the construction of dashboards with graphs, pie charts, etc., while the thresholds functionality includes emails and user defined scripts. Monitored data can be archived in a SQL database by both the GUI and the companion daemon, so that complete history over time can be made available from Web pages or common spreadsheet software. It can even be used for future behavior prediction or capacity planning, from the included predictor tool, based on powerful statistical methods and artificial neural networks.
