dteq is a query tool that passes results through a template. It is well-suited for auto-generating all kinds of things from a database like authentication tables, DNS zone files, or whatever you can come up with. It also does updating commands like INSERT and UPDATE and reports back the number of rows affected. This used to be named mysqlquery but it is now DB-independent, with cdb, MySQL, and PostgreSQL drivers available.

Nevermind Who a.k.a nwho is a GUI for the linux/unix utility rwho. Its interface based on GTK displays who is logged on to machine in your local network depending on how you configure rwho and rwhod. Its main feature is the ability to have a picture in XPM format for each login that is displayed when you click on the login. It is designed for sysadmins to visually verify at a glance that people logged in on machines are really who they pretend to be.
NewSyslog is an updated version of a package put together by Theodore Tso of MIT Project Athena (which is included in NetBSD, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, etc.). It manages the rotation and archiving of log files (primarily those written to by syslogd). This version has a mix of features from all of the other versions, and it has been made more portable than any of the others with the help of GNU Autoconf.
