Accerciser lets you test all aspects of accessibility on the GNOME desktop. It uses AT-SPI to inspect and control widgets, allowing you to check whether an application is providing correct information to assistive technologies and automated test frameworks. It has a simple plugin framework that you can use to extend and customize the accessibility information displayed. It is written in Python and uses the pyLinAcc component from LSR to interact with AT-SPI using pyORBit. In essence, it is a next generation at-poke tool.
high-resolution-timer is a library with Java and C++ wrappers to implement high resolution timers. These timers can be used, for example, to count the ticks when doing performance analysis. This library exploits the system dependent timers/clocks and provides a timer-like interface to the same. The attached file has build scripts for Linux and Solaris. There is also a Java wrapper over the library, which uses JNI to use the timer interfaces.

p-unit is a framework for unit testing and performance benchmarking. As a unit test, it can run with a single thread or multiple threads against the same test code. p-unit has an executor pool which can accelerate the execution speed dramatically. As a perforamnce test framework, it records memory consumption and execution time, and generates results in the form of plain text, image, and PDF file. Users can also easily register their own reporters by implementing the p-unit event listener.
MoMEUnit is an instance of the xUnit architecture for unit testing of J2ME applications. It is derived from the JUnit framework. It is only CLDC 1.1 compliant. It overcomes the lack of a reflection API in the J2ME MIDP API and supports main features of the JUnit framework such as ease of development and running of tests, sharing of fixtures among different tests, the ability to perform simultaneous test runs, and much more. The results of tests are displayed with a progress bar, statistics, and lists of failures or errors with detailed messages for each test.
simena-io is a Linux tool written in Perl and designed to show ethernet interface statistics in bits/second and packets/second in real time. It requires at least Linux kernel 2.2 and Perl 5. It does not require a root account. There is only one command parameter: the refresh rate in seconds. If no parameter is provided, simena-io will refresh every 2 seconds by default.
