Werc is a minimalistic RESTful Web application framework and content management system. It follows the Unix "tool philosophy" and it is designed to be fast, simple, convenient, and easily extensible. It handles both small and big sites and has a flexible system for user and group permissions. All data is stored in plain text files that can be easily manipulated with standard tools, without using any databases or other external dependencies. Existing applications include a blogging engine with RSS/Atom feeds, a wiki system that can easily integrate pre-existing documents (can be enabled for any directory tree), and others.
wshare is a simple solution to share an existing network connection from the commandline. There are two modes, master and client. The master shares an existing network connection (probably to the Internet) via an unused wireless device. The client can connect either through the operating system provided facilities or with this script in client mode.
rmp2dstream will convert an RPM package to a dstream format package under Solaris. It preserves the user, group, and permissions of the RPM files as well as pre and post install scripts. It is intended for using RPM to build a package but using Solaris' tools to manage the final product.
ccollaborate is a CMS framework with support for all programming languages. It aims to be easy to use, program, administrate, and understand. The content can be edited both in command line programs (such as vi) and via a Web-based interface. Modules may be reinstantiated. Files may be uploaded via standard methods (such as sftp, scp, and rsync). All programming languages may be used with ccollaborate.
Shell Flags (shFlags) is a library written to greatly simplify the handling of command-line flags in Bourne based Unix shell scripts (such as those run with bash, dash, ksh, sh, and zsh). Most shell scripts use getopt for flag processing, but the different versions of getopt on various OSes make writing portable shell scripts difficult. shflags instead provides an API that doesn't change across shell and OS versions, so the script writer can be confident that the script will work.
The Amazing Awk Assembler (aaa) is a primitive assembler written entirely in awk and sed. It is quite slow, the input syntax is eccentric and rather restricted, and error checking is virtually nonexistent, but it does work. Furthermore it's very easy to adapt to a new machine, provided the machine falls into the generic "8-bit-micro" category.
