Roxen WebServer is a complete Web server. It is platform-independent, modular, and features a version with strong 128/168-bit encryption. Add-on products for information retrieval, visitor behavior analysis, and powerful tools for application development offering connectivity to databases are available. Altogether the Roxen Platform is a secure Web-based workgroup solution for time and cost-efficient content and Web site management.
Secure Syslog is a cryptographically secure system logging tool for UNIX systems. Designed to replace the syslog daemon, ssyslog implements a cryptographic protocol called PEO-1 that allows the remote auditing of system logs. Auditing remains possible even if an intruder gains superuser privileges in the system, the protocol guarantees that the information logged before and during the intrusion process cannot be modified without the auditor (on a remote, trusted host) noticing.
Loki Setup is a graphical installer for Unix applications. It features descriptions of the package to install in XML, a GTK interface that can be dynamically redefined by the user with Glade, raw and ncurses console interfaces, and the automatic generation of uninstall scripts. It has been successfully used on many Linux and UNIX platforms. It includes tools for uninstalling, patching, and recovering installations. It operates independently from any package managers.
signature produces dynamic signatures for livening up your e-mail and news postings. It enables you to sign your messages with a different sig every time. signature allows you to define a signature template containing static and placeholder text, the latter of which will be dynamically replaced with the output of fortune(6) or any other program whenever a signature is required. As an alternative, you can also create your own quote file containing your favourite tag lines.
The SMS Server Tools send and receive short messages through GSM modems or mobile phones. Messages are stored as text files in spool directories. External programs or scripts of any language can be used to filter, inspect, and answer messages automatically. Events and alarms can be passed to scripts for integration in monitoring tools. The program generates performance statistics as well. This daemon supports 7, 8, and 16 bit character sets as well as binary data (ringtones, logos, wap-push), user data header, flash, and delivery reports.
Squeak is an OpenSource and super-portable implementation of a multi-media capable Smalltalk-80 based object-oriented programming environment. It is written entirely in Smalltalk and has a high-performance VM, created by compiling the Smalltalk VM code into efficient and portable C code. It now uses the Self language's Morphic User Interface but still provides the original MVC GUI as well.
squid_redirect uses a list of patterns to zap annoying ad banners from Web pages, inserting a placeholder image. It lives in a Web proxy and so requires no special browser facilities. It's readily customizable, small, fast, and easy to install. (In Debian/Ubuntu, this program is named "adzapper".)
The stunnel program is designed to work as an SSL encryption wrapper between remote client and local (inetd-startable) or remote server. It can be used to add SSL functionality to commonly used inetd daemons like POP2, POP3, and IMAP servers without any changes in the programs' code. It will negotiate an SSL connection using the OpenSSL or SSLeay libraries. It calls the underlying crypto libraries, so stunnel supports whatever cryptographic algorithms you compiled into your crypto package.
