Poezio is a console-based client for XMPP, the protocol on which the Jabber IM network is built. Its goal is to let you connect to the network very easily (without having to create an account) and join various chatrooms immediately. It tries to look like the most famous IRC clients (such as weechat and irssi). Many commands are identical and you won't be lost if you already know these clients. Configuration can be done in a configuration file or directly from the client. It embodies the light, fast, geeky, and anonymous spirit of IRC while using a new, powerful, standard, and open protocol.
BallroomDJ is a ballroom music player. It is designed to let the computer choose the music and to be able to play music the entire evening without intervention. It features flexible playlists, music queue management, requests, seeking in songs, speed with pitch control, and an optional audio file organizer. Playlists can have automatic selections based on your choice of dances and how often those dances should play, stops after some number of songs has been played, stops at a particular time, allowing of songs with certain keywords, sequences, and manual selection. Mix all of these in any order and modify them at any time.
libunibreak is an implementation of the line breaking and word breaking algorithms as described in Unicode Standard Annex 14 and Unicode Standard Annex 29. It is a superset of, and supersedes, liblinebreak. It is designed to be used in a generic text renderer. FBReader is one real-world example.
Fqutils provides a basic set of bioinformatics command line tools for working with sequence data in FASTQ format. It complements Greg Hannon's fine Fastx Toolkit suite. One characteristic of Fqutils is that it correctly handles the full FASTQ format as described by the published standard, which specifically allows multi-line sequence and quality score information per record. Fqutils is intended to be useful as part of the early portions of post-sequencing pipelines and quality assessment processes.
hpdf.js is a scrip to create PDFs in your browser (it is a port of libharu). Existing projects with the same goal lack a lot of features (e.g. custom fonts). hpdf.js supports custom fonts (Type1 and TTF), PNG, JPEG, and RAW images, password protection, text and link annotations, outlines, drawing function (lines, cycles etc.), encoding support, and more.
rgxg (ReGular eXpression Generator) is a C library and a command-line tool that generate (extended) regular expressions. It can be useful for generating expressions that match, for example, a specific number range (e.g. 0 to 31 or 00 to FF) or all addresses in a CIDR block (e.g. 192.168.0.0/24 or 2001:db8:aaaa::/64).
