As long as your eventual pick is one of the free licenses, you should find a *lot* of interest in this program. The GPL would give you the protection you seek, or at least guarantee that if someone wanted to sell it commercially, they would have to make all their changes available as well.
Like many things, this is almost what I'm looking for. I am willing to make the needed additions as long as I am pretty sure you won't "yank the rug from under me" later on.
Are you willing to accept changes and enhancements? Where would I send them? Have you considered putting this project up on SourceForge?
