mod-cidr is a way to perform hash lookups based on the inbound connection source in a network router style. This module is useful for geo-location or net block lookups. Information is set in the server headers retrieved from a CDB hash. Lookups are extremely fast since the CDB interface is very quick.
Netmon is a simple program designed to return interface counters in a simple format that can easily be used by MRTG. This program was written primarily so that shell scripts would not have to be called from MRTG configurations to get interface stats. Netmon can be configured to log directly to a database.

Possibly - I am not sure how to do this with mod_deflate.
Can you pre-compress files and let disable mod_deflate from sending compressed data when the Accept gz header is not available?
I only wrote this as I didn't know how to do that with mod_deflate.
