Spam filtering per domain
Thanks for the article. This is something that I'm going to be setting up on a couple of servers soon so it should help. I was wondering, though, if you might be able to point me in the right direction on doing the spam filtering on a per domain basis when hosting virtual domains. The configuration as you specified is on a site-wide basis, but it is something we'd like to be able to enable/disable on a per domain basis to save a bit of cpu time. I haven't seen any other documentation mentioning how to do this, so I'm not even sure it's possible except using a hack as below. We do want site-wide AV 'cause many of our hosted domains are also clients, so not having to worry too much about client side AV s/w is worth the extra cycles.
The way we've done this in the past using qmail is to use a maildrop script that passes the email to spamc and then sends the output to the users maildrop script for further processing/filtering. This was a PITA, to say the least. This was easily broken by unwitting users changing the catchall account in using interface qmailadmin and had other problems.
Thanks again for the article.
