gnuBot is an IRC bot written in Perl, designed to be as flexible and easy to use as possible. Dynamically loadable modules are used for everything from networking to configuration, allowing parts to be swapped out at will. It is intended to be both a channel service bot, like an eggdrop, but also have infobot-like features.
pdist is a tool for creating software packages, which is partly based on bdist. pdist uses user supplied definitions to build distributions, and can create tar.gz, tar.bz2, and zip archives automatically and without user intervention. Multiple package types can be defined within one file, so one file can define development, debug, and normal packages. pdist is written in Perl, primarily for use by the gnuBot project.
